Anti-Bullying Resources:
Links to many sites; cyberbullying, relational aggression,legislation,homophobia,bystander programs,bias, restorative justice,curriculum and free resources. Emotional Well-Being:
Your child's emotional health can affect their performance in school, their ability to make friends, and interfere with relationships. The Ithaca City School District is offering free screening for all school-aged children as a commitment to their emotional well-being.

Teaching Tolerance:
Tolerance.org is a principal online destination for people interested in dismantling bigotry and creating, in hate's stead, communities that value diversity.

Parenting Education:
A variety of parenting skills programs offered in tompkins county.

CDRC Mediation
Community Dispute Resolution Center offers professionally trained mediators to community residents to help resolve conflicts, including special programs for children and teenagers.

CDRC Parents Apart:
Parents Apart®, is a program for parents wanting to promote a healthy adjustment for their child while they are going through a separation and/or divorce. Topics are discussed during a six-hour class.

Parents Guide to Special Education:
This is a 2002 version of the parent guide for New State Special Education for children aged 3-21.

VESID Home Page:
Vocational and Educational Services for individuals with disabilities with many links including a link for parent concerns, an autism link and a traumatic brain injury link.

SETRC:
(Special Education Training Resource Cenrter) provides teachers, and parents with information and training on the education of students with disabilities. They offer an extensive library of instructional materials, references, videos and training programs on a variety of subjects available for loan or free distribution.

Maintains the most comprehensive database of services and organizations in Tompkins County.

Human Services Coalition help for working families booklet: housing, crisis, food, health utilities,etc:
A comprehensive directory of contact information for help with housing, food shorage, health needs, utilities, and personal crisis.

Food resources in Tompkins county:
A listing of location and times of food pantries in Tompkins County.

Second Step:
Based on more than 15 years of classroom application and the most current academic, social, and emotional research, the Second Step curriculum focuses on the three essential competencies—empathy, impulse control and problem solving, and anger management. This web page is offered by Randi Beckmann who is the contact person in the ICSD for Second Steps.

Bullying Information: National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center:
A comprehensive web site with links about bullying, including information for youth, for parents, school communities and professionals. There is an online course, short animated videos about bullying, and action steps individuals and institutions can take to address and prevent bullying.

Learning Disabilities:
Website for parents,educators, and other professionals regarding learning disabilities of all types. Helpful ideas and links for educational interventions. Rick Lavoie is a consultant to the site. Also provides question/answer feedback with professionals in the LD field.

Advise About Managing Student Behaviors:
Site of Dr. Tom MacIntyre, CUNY Hunter College. Very animated site, which includes many articles and links for professionals (Teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators) working with students with challenging behaviors. Also provides Q & A section for teachers to get tips via the Internet for collegial support.

Community Coalition for Healthy Youth:
Comprehensice references for youth services in Tompkins County including OJ Guide to Teen services, summer employment, summer camps, substance abuse services and information about legal aspects of drinking for parents and youth.

Intervention Central:
Offers free tools and resources to help school staff and parents to promote positive classroom behaviors and foster effective learning for all children and youth. The site was created by Jim Wright, a school psychologist and school administrator from Central New York. Responsive to Intervention resources.
